tip: Keeping variety in your diet is key to making a permanent change. Boredom is the fastest route to failure!
tip: Think of a vegetable as your "meat", then use a recipe that features that vegetable. Potatoes are a good start.
tip: Leaving half a portion on your plate is easier if you remember that by doing so, you can indulge periodically without so much guilt. Remember, it's not the last cookie you'll ever taste.
tip: If you add sugar to your coffee or tea, use the half rule. Keep gradually reducing this added sugar until you're enjoying your beverages sugar-free.
tip: Try substituting honey for sugar whenever possible. Getting used to this small change will take you one step closer to omitting it completely.
tip: Eat a large variety of fruit. This natural sugar will satisfy your sweet tooth without adding any fat, and you'll enjoy the health benefits of fruit too.
