Tip of Freezing Shelled Nuts
If you need to store shelled nuts for an extended time, freezing them
is highly recommended. Most nuts have a high oil content. This makes
them very susceptible to turning rancid at room temperature. Place
them in airtight bags and put them in the freezer. They will keep well
for up to six months stored in this manner.
