Maraschino Cherry Preserves
3 c. maraschino cherries, chopped 3 c. maraschino cherry syrup 1/2 c. lemon juice 3 c. granulated white sugar 2 pkg. liquid pectin
Combine cherries, syrup, lemon juice and sugar into a large stock pot. Bring to a full rolling boil, stirring constantly. Add the liquid pectin and boil 3 minutes. Ladle into sterilized half -pint jars. Cap and seal. Process 5 minutes in a hot water bath. Makes 6 half pints.
