I went to get fuel for the fondue pot (at the store where i bought the pot) and it doesn't fit. I could use it anyway, but cannot control the flame and am making cheese fondue in a metal pot (which requires low-med heat). Correct fuel is nowhere to be found. Any ideas about how to control the heat from the sterno can? Only one I have is to periodically extinguish and re-light it. Help asap if you have ideas!!!!
PS - not really a poll, i just don't know how to turn it off

Hello and welcome Oddity! Enjoy your visit! Well, I do know with sterno that you cannot control the flame with any size. I don't know really what to tell you about controlling it, but use what you have anyway and keep a very close eye on it. This is a slow time of year for the message board, so I don't know if anyone else will get on to be able to answer you correctly. The sterno cooks at it's own speed and flame, so, again, just keep a close eye on it. Let us know how it goes? Chris in NM
