For 4 Servings:
1 lb. fresh green beans 2 green bell peppers, cored, deseeded and chopped 2 onions, finely chopped salt and pepper dried thyme or sage 1 ounce butter Preheat oven to 350°F. If the beans are large, cut in half. Make alternate layers of the vegetables in a greased casserole, beginning and ending with beans. Sprinkle each layer with salt and pepper and thyme and dot with butter. Cover tightly and cook for 1 hour, or until the vegetables are very tender.
