Potato Cakes
6 large potatoes 1/4 cup milk 3 eggs, beaten 1/2 tsp salt 3 TBS butter 1 tsp baking powder 2 cups flour Cream Sauce
Peel and boil potatoes in salted water until tender. Drain and mash. Beat in milk, eggs, salt, flour and baking powder. Form into patties. Brown potatoes patties lightly in hot butter. Serve with Cream Sauce. Serves 6.
Cream Sauce
4 cups milk, heated 3 TBs flour 1/3 cup sugar 1/4 cup cold milk 2 TBS butter 1 tsp caraway seed
Heat milk in saucepan. Mix flour and sugar with the cold milk. Stir into hot milk, stirring until mixture boils and thickens. Add butter and caraway seed, stirring to melt butter.
