In regards to cooking venison: First as my dad always said "If you're man enough to shot it, you better be man enough to cook it and eat it". Second game shot in an unsuspecting moment is tastier than that of a panicked animal whose flesh will be instantly pumped full of adrenalin causing a gamey bitter taste If the animal startles before the shot, let it go since the meat will have a bad taste anyway. Also care must be taken in dressing the animal to make sure that no glands are cut especially musk glands. If care has been taken the venison can be cooked using almost any beef recipe. Vivien
