This message is for Carol. My mother-in-law makes a candy at Christmas time, which resembles holly. I know she uses marshmallow cream, dyed green, mixed with cornflakes. But I don't know the proportions or the directions. Do you have a recipe for that?
We have made these for years. It's really easy. Use the ricecrispy treats recipe on the back of a bag of marshmallows. Substitute corn flakes for the rice crispies. Add the green food coloring when your marshmallows are melted and before you add the corn flakes. When your cornflakes are mixed in well, drop by large spoonfulls onto waxed paper. Grease your hands well with butter to keep from sticking. Then mold mixture into wreaht shape. You can use red hot candies or red miny m&m's for holly berries. Kids will love this.
