I am looking for a recipe for cookie bars using Butterfinger candy bars. I believe you crushed the candy bars and sprinkled them on top of some kind of base. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance to all who help me! Laura Nancy in your newsletter dated 10-1-03...Laura was requesting a Butterfinger cookie Bar...don't know if anyone has responded, but I have an oldy but a goody... Butterfinger Cookies 1/3 cup butter or margarine 3/4 cup white sugar 1 egg 1-1/3 cups sifted all purpose flour 1/2 tsp baking soda 1/4 tsp salt 1 Butterfinger candy bar -- cut in pieces Cream butter and sugar together. Beat in egg. Sift dry ingredients, sprinkle over small cut pieces of candy and combine with wet mixture. Chill. Drop by half teaspoonful on greased cookie sheet. Bake in moderate oven 375 degrees. Remove from pan immediately. NOTES : This recipe when hand-written Butterfinger 10 cent size......today this is the regular size candy bar like you get out of a vending machine. Dotty
