Ham Balls Balls: 1 1/2 lb. ground ham 1 1/2 lb. ground pork 1 c. milk 1 c. fine bread crumbs 2 eggs, beaten * salt and pepper to taste Sauce: 1 c. brown sugar 1/2 c. water 1/4 c. vinegar 1 Tbsp. cornstarch 1 tsp. dry mustard Combine all ham ball ingredients and mix well. Shape into balls and arrange in baking pan (this makes about 25-30 balls). In a saucepan combine all sauce ingredients and bring to a boil. Lower heat and simmer for 3 minutes until well blended. Pour sauce over ham balls. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour. NOTE: These could be used with a toothpick as an appetizer (watch then the size of the balls!), or you could use these to make little soft roll types of sandwiches... Vary the rolls to give a unique look to your plate/platter, and add a few types of cheese > which they can see just looking at the sides of the roll! I have found that a few 'sandwich types of appetizers' can go a long way in filling up a hungry person! Saves your labor intensive types of appetizers for everyone to then get a bite of!
