1 pound lean ground beef 1/4 C onion, finely chopped 1/2 tsp. thyme 1 egg, beaten 1/2 C breadcrumbs Salt & pepper to taste 8 oz. can jellied cranberry sauce 2 TBL. brown sugar 1 TBL. apple cider vinegar 2/3 C chili sauce or steak sauce
Combine ground beef, onion, thyme, egg, breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper and mix well. Roll into 1-inch balls and place on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until browned. Place meatballs in a crock pot and mix together cranberry sauce, brown sugar, vinegar and chili or steak sauce. Mix sauce well and pour into crock pot over meatballs. Stir to coat meatballs. Allow simmering for an hour or so before serving. You can also buy already prepared meatballs if you want to save some time.
