I am going to make sauerkraut soup today, but with a hock as this is what I have atm. Thanks for the great recipes.

2 c. saurkraut 3 slices bacon, chopped 1/2 lb. pork, diced 1/2 t. paprika 1/4 c. brown sugar 1 onion, chopped 2 cloves garlic, crushed 1 T. tomato paste 1 t. caraway seeds 8 c. vegetable/ham stock sour cream
Saute bacon, onion, pork and garlic for 20 minutes. Add saurkraut, tomato paste, paprika, brown sugar and caraway seeds. Stir. Add stock. Simmer 3 hours uncovered. Serve with a dollop of sour cream.
