I haven't seen this tip in previous posts. If the soup you have just made is lacking in something I use a handful of instant potato granules, try adding them in gradually stirring until you have the consistency you like. This is particularly good for Leek and potato soup when the potatoes haven't broken down as much as you would have wanted them to. They are a great stand-by.
