I have tried Betty Crockers Chocolate Chip Cookies a couple of times - granted they are simple to make and taste good. Strange how the biggest ones always went first. I wasn't too happy with the look of the cookies - craggy and all different shapes and sizes. I tried teaspoonfuls, but no, I tried ice cream scoop, but no. I tried rolling into balls, but no.
Yesterday I made the mix according to the instructions, as I wasn't expecting any visitors I thought I'll just refrigerate the dough mixture and use it tomorrow. I floured my board and rolled the mixture into a thick sausage shape and wrapped it in sprayed foil. Today instead of doing the recommended dollops on your baking tray - I spread my board lightly with icing sugar (confectioners), rolled the thick sausage shape in the sugar and then cut into quarter inch thick biscuits and baked them as directed. I got 20 reasonable sized biscuits and I still have about a third of the roll left (I ran out of oven space), but I'll make more tomorrow. They looked nicer - and taste just the same if not slightly better.
