Chocolate Nutty Brownies
Preheat oven to 180oC/350oF
Grease an 8" x 10"/20cm x 25cm baking tin
5 1/2 oz/150g butter, cubed 5 1/2 oz/150g plain chocolate, broken into pieces 3 medium size eggs 7 oz/200g caster sugar (slightly finer than granulated) 2 1/4 oz/75g walnuts, roughly chopped 4 1/2 oz/125g plain flour
Melt the butter and chocolate slowly in a saucepan, then cool a little.
Beat the eggs and sugar together, beat the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mix, fold in the flour and walnuts.
Pour into the prepared tin and cook for about 25 - 30 minutes.
The top should be crisp, the middle gooey.
When cooled, cut into squares.
