Where do you live in SC? We just moved to PA from the Myrtle Beach area. I so miss it.
Please send some warm thoughts and a palm tree or two this way. Grits would be most welcome, too. Oh, gosh ~ don't get me started. Can't find some of my favorite foods in the supermarket. UGH.

Hi there, it is good to see so many fellow Oregonians here at this great place on the internet! You are just South of where I live. I live in Gresham, NE of you. I sure do love our state and would not want to live anywhere else. I want to have the chance to go and visit all of the other beautiful states that we are so lucky to have within our borders of the U.S.A.

;D Hi April and Welcome to all you Newcomers to Nancy's Kitchen Message Board! Yes, I do read all the areas a couple of times per day. And I can understand why you miss NM, April. I live in Alamogordo, NM - which is about 100 miles from the Mexican border! Yup! We are to be around 60 or above tomorrow. Eat your hearts out! hehehe ;D This is a great site and everyone is so friendly and helpful. Any question - just ask. If no one knows, someone will find out for you! Chris in NM (Southern, that is!)

Hi Chris!! Hey, We here on the coast of Oregon were 60 degrees or above! We've had a ton of rain latey. But yesterday and today were both beautiful blue skies! I even saw several people in shorts!
My sister is in CA. She said it was about 80 yesterday. Yuck. I don't like it that hot when it's summer time! LOL
I haven't been here at Nancy's very much lately. But things should settle down (yeah, right) now that the kids are back in school.
Welcome to all you newbies!
Robyn

Hi all! I am also new to the board (though I've been cruising around as a guest for awhile) Today the ribs cooked in coke and ketchup are in the crockpot - my favorite appliance. I live in Las Vegas but was raised in Alaska. There were a couple of years in New Mexico in between (including Alamogordo, Chris ) I love this site and my three boys (12,16,21) really appreciate the variety. Thanks for all the great recipes!

Hi! I just found this board while surfing the net. Looks like there are a great bunch of folks here.
My name is Judy and my "real" home is in Heber City, UT, but I am temporarily living in Las Vegas, NV due to husband's employment (he's been here 21 months, I've been here 15 of those). Don't know when we'll be returning home yet -Judy

Hello everyone a newbie here from downunder, happened upon this site while I was searching for 'Jar Mixes' and really pleased I did am way impressed with what I've seen so far. I've been a PC user for quite a few years but only the past couple of weeks have been involved with forums and wish I'd become involved a long time ago - they really are invaluable sources of information with good humour attached. Just have to work out all the tags and bits wish I was as smart as my hubby in this area .. guess what he's doing today? ;D he's not just here for his good looks.

Hi all! Another Nancy here, from central Iowa, where we were buried under 14 inches of snow Friday night and yesterday morning. Just heard that the Washington, DC area may get 24 inches, so guess I'd better not complain. ;D This is the first time I have tried to post, so hope I am doing it correctly. Love all the recipes, and hearing where everyone lives.

I live in mid-central Minnesota, near a small town named Deer Creek. Brrrr.... it has been pretty cold lately, but they say it will warm up soon. My husband, daughter and I live on a farm and raise beef cows, horses and goats. We have rabbits, 2 dogs and way too many cats. I also have a grown son. My husband and I both have full time jobs off the farm, so we keep busy! Some of our best friends are Amish:there is a settlement in our neigherhood. I love finding and trying new recipes. I just plain love to cook, so I was very excited to find this site. I plan on checking in often.
