Please help...I am having withdrawal symptoms from not being able to read your letter. I don't know if you switched to a different server or what on March 1st but I have not been able to access it since that time. I use webtv and had no problem at all until then. I still receive the letter in my mailbox but when I click the links, it will not open. I ahve tried everything I know how to do to access it. Am I the only one on webtv that is missing it?

Hi September01, I've been hanging off hoping that someone would come in and help you get access to the newsletter. I'm sorry, I know absolutely zilch about webtv, the only help I can give at this time is a link for the March achive, which if you can get into, you will also have a lead into April's. Hopefully someone with webtv will come in with some help soon. www.nancyskitchen.com/2009-March/default.htmlSylvia

Hi! I also know nothing about webtv, but Sylvia gave you the link to the March newsletters and here is the link to the April newsletters. www.nancyskitchen.com/2009-April/default.html You can go from there. Perhaps you can email Nancy and ask if she knows, or send in a request to the newsletter and someone who has webtv can help you. Chris in NM Good luck!

Thanks much to both of you...I already tried both links several times over the past 2 months...nothing. As I said, I get the email containing the links but a black screen opens---used to be brown. I know it doesn't make sense to you. I'll just be patient and hope things work themselves out. Thanks again to both of you for caring!

Hi again! I don't understand why you cannot click on the links we gave you in this message and get Nancy's newsletter! I would check with your ISP - Internet Service Provider - to see what is what.

That's what I always did...click on the links in the newsletter and I could access all of it. It opened onto a brown background and then loaded as usual until March 1st. I remember Nancy saying something about changing over to something or other [maybe a server?] while the one we were on was being worked on or something---wish I had paid more attention. That happened at the same time that I couldn't access the on line newsletter any more. I have been able to get into the archives and also am able to get here, obviously. Guess I'll just have to wait until these last couple months of recipes get archived.
Thanks again Chris!

Hi again,
As you've probably gathered neither Chris or I like to be beaten on a query to do with the newsletter. I've checked back the newsletters and the only comments I could find around the beginning of March is:
This month the newsletters will be posted on nancyskitchen.com so that I can work on nancys-kitchen.com. I will do my best to include individual recipes as well. Please go to March Recipe Index to access the individual recipes. The bold text will be links and the red text is the topic
Is this what you were referring to? If it is, maybe someone who has webtv will pop in and help get you back on board again.
I'm sure there will be something in our next newsletter, if there is Chris or I will let you know.
Sylvia

I have discovered that I can not access the archives as I used to...I wanted to go back to the end of February and see what it was that Nancy had said she was going to change. I will not be able to respond to either of you this weekend---it's my weekend to work---12 hours each day. Have a great Mother's Day! Do you celebrate Mother's Day in Scotland? Every day should be Mother's Day.

Happy Mothers' Day to you, too! Did you email Nancy? She may be able to help you. Hugs, Chris

Hi September01
I'm really sorry none of our suggestions have worked.
Yes we do celebrate Mother's day, ours was about 4 weeks ago. I agree that every day should be Mother's day.
For all the mothers out their, enjoy your Mother's Day on Sunday.

Yes I did write Nancy one time...she gets so much mail...I'm pretty sure she may have thought it was spam or something. Besides I am but one person and if I am the only one having this problem, it must be MY problem. I have seen nothing from any other webtv user.

Hi September 01,
I have put a request in the newsletter on your behalf. Told them your dilemma, we may get some help on Tuesday. Nancy has a lot on at the moment. The newsletter in the meantime will be sent when she can manage it. Nancy made a comment in Sunday's newsletter:
do not know what the problem is in accessing the newsletter with WebTV. There are several members that can not access it but most can. WebTV technology of 1997 may not work any more on many sites on the internet. Nancy Rogers
So hang in there, maybe someone will come up with a solution.

WOW SYLVIA!!! That's great news---gives me great hope. I miss the newsletter so much. I did read in my email that Nancy's s-i-l had an accident and that Nancy was helping her. That is as it should be---family being first priority. I do wish I could find a way to thank you and Chris for trying to help me. I don't feel so alone now, even if there is no resolve to my problem. Great to know there are caring people still out there.

September, your thanks is our thanks! We are all a huge family and here to help each other! Good luck! Please do check out your Internet Service Provider. I don't really hear of anyone having webtv any more. Most people have gone to a regular computer.

Chris there are still many, many, many webtv users---you have no idea at the size of our community. Many of us started out on webtv and liked it so well, we still have it. Some of us are not real good at handling change , and many of us cannot afford what you call a "real computer", although they have come down in price quite nicely. I also have a laptop but use it for games, DVD's, etc....no internet. I am very comfortable with webtv and, as I stated, never had a problem accessing Nancy's Kitchen until the end of February [that is where it was stated the change that Nancy was making]. Yesterday I googled and was able once again to access past archived years of the newsletter so I may just have to wait until this year is archived---we all know it's worth it! Thanks again ladies.

WebTV is still going strong in our area - and is we enjoy it. A "real computer" is not necessary for those of us who just want surf the internet.
September01 - I have had some problems as well and have had to contact Microsoft tech support in the past and they were most helpful. I don't know if my problems were the same as what you are experiencing but put in webtv in your search engine and you will get the correct website to link up with. Good Luck and let's all get cooking and being HELPFUL to one another.

Hi September! I am so glad to hear you were able to access some of Nancy's archived newsletters! Wish there was something we could do to help so you could get the unarchived ones! Take care! Chris Actually, I didn't mean anything against anyone using webtv! I guess since I have always used a tower, keyboard and monitor I have considered it a "regular" computer. Actually some good friends had a webtv for quite a few years and liked it. Then it got so they couldn't do as much as they were wanting, so went the way DH and I have. You take care and good luck! I am still glad you can access some of the archives!
