Plantation Almond Tea
2/3 cup sugar 1/4 cup lemon juice 2 tea bags (I recommend using 4 tea bags) 2 cups boiling water 2 cups cold water 1/2 teaspoon almond extract 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1.) In a teapot or a large saucepan, add the sugar, lemon juice, and the tea bags.
2.) Pour boiling water over the tea mixture.
3.) Cover; and let the tea steep for 10 minutes.
4.) Remove the tea bags, and then discard them.
5.) Add the remaining ingredients.
6.) Cool the tea to room temperature, then refrigerate the tea until it's completely chilled.
7.) Serve tea in glasses filled with ice.

Hi Domestic Goddess,
I made a pitcher of your tea today. I'm having lots of visits from architects, planners etc re getting a wet room installed. I am fed up making teas, coffees with all their preferences, strong tea, weak tea, strong coffee with loads of milk; I decided that I'd give your tea a go. I didn't give them any choices it was Plantation Almond Tea or nowt. It went down very well.
I'll cut down the sugar a little next time.
Thanks for the recipe.
Sylvia
