These are the times I have worked out for my slo-cooker. The newer slo-cookers reach much higher temperatures quicker than the old ones. On your first attempt check your pudding regularly and make any adjustments to the times, that your cooker may need. The finished pudding should be a nice creamy consistency. I don't know what our school dinner cooks did to the tapioca, but this pudding has no resemblance to the "frogs' eggs" served for school meals.
Tapioca Pudding
Serves 4
2 ozs/50g Seed Pearl Tapioca 1 pt/600 ml milk 1 oz/25g Golden Caster Sugar 3 Tbs condensed milk
Place first 3 ingredients into a buttered crockpot/slo cooker, mix ingredients and cook on LOW for 1 hour.
Stir in the condensed milk and cook on low for 2 hours, check after 1 hour and stir again. If needed add some more milk.
Serve on its own, or with sliced peaches or other fruit, of your choice. The DH and I like it simply with creme fraiche.
