A few of my friends have started to use silicone bakeware and so have I. Complaints about the shape of their loaves has echoed far and near. If you are making a cake, loaf, meat loaf etc., you can prevent that bellowing out in the middle by using the silicone inside one of your old metal loaf tins, providing you haven't ditched them. You still get the great finish you have been used to getting.
