I had some pre-cooked shrimp, marinara sauce and a pkg. of 3 cheese tortellini I wanted to try on my hubby tonight. It was a huge success!!!!! So yummy!!!!!
Shrimp Marinara w/ 3 Cheese Tortellini
½ lb. pre-cooked/raw med. to lg. shrimp
1 (15 oz.) container marinara sauce
½ to ¾ C. dry red wine
1 pkg. 3 cheese tortellini, uncooked!
1 bunch green onions, chopped
1 tbl. crushed garlic
2 tbl. butter or olive oil
Add garlic and green onions to oil is deep skillet and saute' till opaque. Mix sauce with the wine and tortellini and add to skillet. Simmer for ½ hour or till tortellini is close to done. Add shrimp to sauce and simmer till shrimp is opaque. Simmer for 20 min. Serve with Italian bread and steamed asparagus.
This is awesome!! We are also having it tonight! (6/18/05) I am fixing shoepeg corn in butter sauce with it.
