Mock Shortribs
2 lb lean beef stew meat, trimmed of fat 5 ½ oz can (156ml) of tomato paste 1 cup water 1 cup chopped onion 2 TBS white vinegar 2 TBS soy sauce ½ tsp ginger 1 tsp dry mustard 1 tsp beef boullion powder ¼ tsp pepper
Arrange meat in small roaster. Combine remaining ingredients. Stir and pour over. Cover and bake at 325*F for 2 ½ to 3 hours til very tender. Serves 8.
