Zesty Sloppy Joes
4 pounds ground beef 1 cup chopped onion 1 cup finely chopped green pepper 1 cans (10 3/4 oz each) condensed tomato soup, undiluted 1 can (15 oz) thick and zesty tomato sauce 1 can (8 oz) tomatoe sauce 3/4 cup packed brown sugar 1/4 cup ketchup 3 TBS worchestershire sauce 1 TBS prepared mustard 1 TBS dry mustard powder 1 tsp chili powder 1 tsp garlic salt 20 to 25 hamburger buns
In a large saucepan or dutch oven over medium heat, brown ground beef and onion. Add green pepper. Cook and stir for 5 minutes; drain. Add the next 10 ingredients; bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 1 hour stirring occasionally. Serve on buns. makes 20 to 25 servings. This freezes well. I freeze it in 4 serving size containers. To serve just thaw and heat.
