Cheddar Quick Bread
2 c Flour 1 tb Sugar 1 1/2 ts Baking powder 1/2 ts Salt 1/2 Stick butter or margarine 2 c Shredded CRACKER BARREL -Sharp Cheddar Cheese 1 c Milk 1 Egg; beaten
Directions: Mix the dry ingredients; cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in cheese. Add combined milk and egg, mixing just until moistened. Spoon into greased and floured 9x5 loaf pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 45 minutes. Cool 5 minutes; remove from pan. (For MEXICAN CHEESE BREAD: Substitute 8 oz pk KRAFT Mexican Shredded Cheese for shredded Cracker Barrel cheese and stir in 4-1/2 oz can chopped green chiles, drained.) 12 servings.
