POTATO FLAKE STARTER BREAD...
Starter: 1 Envelope of yeast 1 cup warm water 3/4 cup sugar 4 Tbs. Instant Potato Flakes
Mix all ingredients together in a glass jar....(I use a mason Jar) Make sure you have punched hole in the lid for venting purposes.
Let stand at room temp. for 24 hours....Refrigerate for 3 or 4 days, On 4th day feed with 3/4 cup sugar, 3 Tbs. of Potato Flakes and 1 cup of warm water. Stir with nonmetal spoon. Keep at room temp for 24 hours. You will use one cup of starter to make your bread.
Bread: 1/3 cup sugar 1/2 cup corn oil 1 Tbs. salt 1 1/2 cup warm water 1 Cup Starter 6 to 6 1/2 cups of Better for Bread Flour
Stir together all ingredients, except flour. When mixed add flour, a little at a time and mix well. Put dough into greased, large bowl and turn dough to grease the top and sides. Cover with foil. Let rise over night or at least 8 hours. Punch dough down and turn out onto a floured board and knead. Divide into 3 loaves or make dinner rolls. Brush tops with corn oil. Cover with foil and let rise for 4-6 hours. Bake at 350 for 25-35 mins. Brush tops with melted butter....Remove from pans and cool on cooling rack
Place starter back into fridge until 4th day feeding.
