Does anyone have a recipe for hamburger pie. I know some of the ingrediants were ground beef, milk, instant mashed potatoes, and cheese. The meatloaf was topped with the potatoes and the cheese. This was a family favorite but the recipe was lost in a move and I can't remember how to make it.

Hello busdriver309, Welcome to Nancy's Kitchen Recipe Message Board. We're happy to have you join us. Here is one of many versions of the recipe for Hamburger Pie. We'll see what else we can come up with for you. -Shortcake Hamburger Pie 1 pound ground beef 1/2 medium yellow onion 1 10-oz can condensed tomato soup 1 15-oz can cut green beans 4-6 servings of mashed potatoes 1 cup shredded cheese (Colby, cheddar, American, etc.) Cook ground beef and onion until beef is browned and onion is tender. Drain off fat. Combine soup and green beans with cooked meat. Heat on medium/low for 10 minutes. Pour beef mixture into deep pie pan. Top with mashed potatoes. Sprinkle with shredded cheese. Bake for 10 minutes at 350 degrees until cheese is melted. Makes 4-6 servings.
