The original, a favorite back in the 1960's.
Dream Cake
for the cake:
1 18.25oz. 2 layer cake,
....your choice of yellow, white, or chocolate
1 envelope dream whip topping
1 cup cold tap water
*Don't whip use right from envelope
4 eggs
Mix whip topping with water, then combine all ingredients.
Beat with electric mixer until everything is moist at medium speed.
Pour batter into greased/floured tube pan or bundt pan.
Bake at 350 degrees 40 - 50 minutes for tube pan and 40 minutes
for bundt pan. Cool 15 minutes and remove from pan and cool on rack.
for the fluffy frosting:
1 envelope dream whip
1 3/4oz. instant pudding mix
1/2 c. cold milk
Combine the ingredients.
Beat on high until soft peaks form, about 4 - 6 minutes.
Frost cake and then refrigerate.
(Makes 3 1/3 cups frosting.)
