Raisin Cookies 3 c. flour 2 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. ground cloves 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon 1/2 tsp. salt 1 c. butter flavor shortening 2 c. packed light brown sugar 2 large eggs 1 c. sour milk 1 c. chopped walnuts, optional 1/2 c. dark raisins 1/2 c. golden raisins Preheat oven to 350. Use ungreased baking sheets. Stir together the flour, baking soda and salt. Set aside. Cream together the shortening and sugar. Beat in the eggs, and then the milk. Slowly add the flour mixture. Then add the nuts and raisins. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto baking sheets. Bake for 9 - 12 minutes, until light in color. Remove to a wire rack to cool.
