Beef round steak with broccoli over rice. Ingredients:
1/4 cup all-purpose flour 1 (10.5 ounce) can Tops beef broth 2 tablespoons sugar 2 tablespoons soy sauce 2 tablespoons red wine 1 tablespoon Tops vegetable oil l pound thinly sliced round steak, cut into narrow, bite sized pieces 1/4 to l/2 teaspoon chopped fresh ginger root 2 cloves garlic,minced 4 cups chopped fresh broccoli
Cooked Rice for 4 according to directions on package
Directions:
In a small bowl, combine flour, broth, sugar, soy sauce and wine.
Stir until sugar and flour are dissolved.
Bring skillet or wok to high heat. Add oil.
Cook and stir beef approximately 2-3 minutes, or until browned.
Remove beef from skillet.
Add ginger, and garlic to soften. Then stir in broth mixture and broccoli.
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to slow simmer for approximately 6 to 10 minutes, or until sauce thickens.
Add beef the last 3 minutes.
Serves 4. Ready in approximately 30 minutes. Serve as an accompaniment to or over cooked rice.
