Apple Bars 1/2 cup butter 1 cup all-purpose flour 1 egg 1 cup white sugar 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 1 cup apples - peeled, cored and finely diced 1 cup chopped walnuts 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour 8 x 8 inch pan. 2 In small sauce pan, melt butter or margine over low heat. 3 Pour into mixing bowl and combine with other ingredients, mixing well. 4 Pour batter into pan and bake for approximately 40 minutes. Makes 16 bars
