Soften 1 cup of butter, and add 1 cup of sugar---cream well. Add 2 beaten eggs and blend. Add 2 cups all purpose flour, and blend. Add 1 cup chopped nuts, and blend again. Spread 1/2 of the batter in a 9 inch baking dish. Spread 1 cup of Strawberry jam over batter. Spread remaining batter over the jam, creating 3 layers. Bake at 325, for 45 minutes or just until browned Cool, cut in 2 inch squares.
