2 cups flour 2 tablespoons sugar 1 teaspoon baking powder 1/4 teaspoon salt 2 eggs 1 1/2 cups milk Deep frying oil Powdered sugar
Mix up first 6 ingredients well. Have deep fryer ready. Using a kitchen funnel (or large cooking spoon), holding finger under the hole, fill the funnel with batter. Hold funnel over the hot oil, and allow batter to drop in hot oil, in any size pieces. Allow the *cakes* to brown on both sides, then dip out onto paper towels to drain. Then roll cakes in powdered sugar, and enjoy! My kids and Grandkids, has made these for years! great for Saturday morning breakfast!
