Apple-Raisin Drops
Serving Size : 36 Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 2 cups flour 1 teaspoon baking powder 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup vegetable shortening 1 cup packed light brown sugar 2 large eggs 1/4 cup milk 1 1/2 cups diced, peeled apples 1 cup golden raisins 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease cookie sheets. Combine flour, baking powder, spices and salt. In a large bowl, cream the shortening and brown sugar. Beat in the eggs and milk. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients. Fold in the apples, raisins and nuts. Drop dough by spoonfuls 1 1/2" apart onto the prepared baking sheets. Bake for 12-14 min., or until lightly colored. Transfer to wire racks to cool.
