Meatloaf
4 T. butter 1 chopped onion 1 stalk celery 1 chopped green pepper 1 t. meat seasoning 1 T. Worcestershire sauce 1/2 C. evaporated milk 1/2 C. ketchup 1 1/2 lb. hamburger 1/2 lb. pork sausage 2 eggs 1 C. bread crumbs or 1 pkg. stuffing 2 t. minced garlic brown sugar to taste 1 can tomato sauce garlic powder to taste 1 can mushrooms (hubby loves these)
Preheat oven to 350. Melt the butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add the onion, celery, meat seasoning, Worcestershire sauce. Cook stirring occasionally and scraping bottom of pan until the mixture starts sticking about 6 minutes. Stir in the milk and ketchup. Continue cooking for about 1 minute stirring occasionally. Remove from the heat and allow to cool at room temp. Place the hamburger and sausage in a large mixing bowl. Add the eggs, cooked mixture, bread crumbs and remaining ingredients. Mix by hand. Place mixture in an ungreased 9x13 baking dish. Shape into a loaf making sure not to touch the sides. Bake uncovered 25 minutes. Raise heat to 400 and continue cooking until done approximately another 35 minutes
