4 pounds country-style spareribs 1 medium onion sliced 1/2 cup dark corn syrup 2 tablespoons firmly packed brown sugar 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce 1/2 teaspoon liquid smoke flavoring 1/4 cup cider vinegar 1 teaspoon dry mustard 1/4 teaspoon chili powder 1 cup catsup
Place sapreribs in 4-6 quart Dutch oven. Coverribs with water, salt to taste.
Bring to boil;reduce heat.Simmer,covered for 1 hour or until ribs are tender; drain.
Place in 13x9" baking dish.
Heat oven to 325 F.In a medium bowl,mix remaining ingredients.Pour sauce over ribs.Bake at 325 F. for 30-40 minutes, basting occasionally. Serves 4-5.
