SAUSAGE GRAVY
8 ounces pork sausage ¼ cup all purpose-flour 2 and 1/3 cups sweet milk ½ teaspoon salt ½ teaspoon pepper
Brown 8 oz. of pork sausage in a large skillet over medium heat, stirring until it crumbles. Remove sausage & drain while reserving a tablespoon of the drippings in the skillet. Shake ¼ cup all-purpose flour into the hot drippings, scraping and stirring constantly for about a minute. Gradually stir in 2 and 1/3 cups milk. Continue to cook 5 - 7 minutes or until it thickens. Add sausage back to the gravy and stir in salt and pepper. Serve over buttermilk biscuits or grits.
