4 medium porkchops 1 cup chopped onion 1/2 cup water 2 cups applesauce 1 Tablespoon lemon juice 1/2 teaspoon pepper 1/2 cup sour cream
Brown chops in large frying pan. Remove and trim fat. Set aside. Saute onions in fry pan. Add water to pan and scrape. Reduce heat, add applesauce, lemon juice, and pepper. Mix well. Return chops to pan and smother with sauce. Cover and cook gently until chops are done thru. About 30-40 min.
Remove chops to warm platter.. Add sour cream to warm applesauce mix and heat, but do not boil. Pour over chops and serve. This is very good and simple.One of our faves.
