Homemade Kahlua
1 qt water
2 1/2 cup sugar
3 Tbsp instant coffee
1 Tbsp vanilla
2 1/2 cup vodka
Directions: Bring water, sugar and coffee to boil in a sauce pan. Simmer 'very slowly' for 3 hours. Mixture will be very dark and syrupy. Cool. Add vanilla and vodka. Makes 7 cups.
