Bread + Butter Pickles
30-35 cucumbers, sliced thin 2 green peppers, chopped 8 lg onions, chopped 1/2 cup salt
7 cups vinegar 7 cups sugar 3 tsp turmeric 1/4 cup mustard seed 1 tsp cloves 1 tsp celery seed
Combine cucumbers, green peppers, onions and salt. Let stand for 3 hours. Drain. In large kettle combine vinegar, sugar and spices. Bring to boil. Add drained vegetables, and heat thoroughly. (DO NOT BOIL) Pour into jars and seal. Process per water bath for 15 minutes. ;D
