3 tablespoons of flour 3 tablespoons of butter or margarine 1 1/2 c. milk 8 oz. macaroni 8 oz. grated cheese (I usually use cheddar or l/2 cheddar l/2 taco) salt and pepper to taste
Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add the flour and whisk until butter is absorbed. Add milk, a few tablespoons at a time. After adding milk each time, stir and boil until it thickens and keep adding until all the milk is used. Turn the heat off. Add salt and pepper to taste. Add the mixture to the cooked elbow macaroni and stir. Put into an ungreased baking dish, add italian flavored breads crumbs to the top. Bake at 325 for 20 to 25 minutes.
