20 oz. frozen peas, thawed 1/2 cup chopped onion (optional) 2 cups chopped celery 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. basil (may substitute dill weed) (1/8 tsp. ground pepper may be added, if desired) 1 cup crumbled bacon 1/2 cup chopped cashew nuts (optional) 8 to 10 oz. sour cream
Toss together well.
Serving Suggestion Place lettuce leaves on small salad plates. Scoop pea salad with ice cream scoop for nice rounded form... place in center of lettuce leaves. Garnish with tomato wedges on the side.
