FAVORITE JELL-O SALAD
1 3 oz package lemon Jell-O 1 8 oz can crushed pineapple, drained 1 cup slightly sweetened whipped cream 1/2 cup American cheese, grated
Prepare Jell-O according to package directions. When partially set (moderately firm, but not stiff), remove from refrigerator and whip Jell-o with egg beater or electric mixer. Add drained pineapple, whipped cream, and grated cheese. Mix well and pour into Jell-o mold, individual molds, or 8x8x2 dish to cut into squares for serving. Return to refrigerator for firm set.
For Individual Servings:
8-10 crisp lettuce leaves whipped cream or Cool Whip 8-10 red maraschino cherries
Place lettuce leaf on each salad plate. Place single serving molded Jell-O or cut squares on lettuce leaves. Garnish each serving with a dollop of Cool Whip, top with a maraschino cherry.
