Hamburger-Rice Soup
1-1/2 pounds hamburger 1 cup chopped onion 1 cup cubed raw potatoes 1 cup diced carrots 1/2 cup diced celery 1/4 cup rice 1 (28-ounce) can stewed tomatoes 1 small bay leaf 1/2 teaspoon thyme 1/4 teaspoon basil 2 teaspoons salt (or more to your personal taste!) 1/8 teaspoon pepper (or more to your personal taste!) 1-1/2 quarts water
Directions: Saute the hamburger and onion until brown; drain. Add other ingredients. Reduce heat and simmer at least 1 hour. About 6 servings.
