INGREDIENTS:
2 lbs. ground round
2 14.5oz. cans diced tomatoes
3 14 oz. cans beef broth
2 29oz cans tomato sauce
2 med. onions
2 green peppers
3 cups instant rice (uncooked)
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1/4 tsp. white pepper
1/2 tsp. seasoning salt
DIRECTIONS:
In large soup pot, brown and drain ground beef. Add onion,broth,tomatoes, and tomato sauce. Add green pepper and seasonings and bring just to a boil.
Reduce heat and simmer 1-2 hours. Add rice approx. 1/2 hour before serving. serves 6-8 people.
For thicker soup use 1 less can broth and add 1 can tomato paste.
