I love smoothies. Here are some that were accidently Linda
STRAWBERRY SMOOTHIE
2 c. vanilla ice cream 1 1/2 c. strawberries 2 tbsp. sugar 2 tsp. lemon juice 2 c. crushed ice
Combine in blender and process until smooth. Serve immediately. 4 cups.

2 lg. ripe bananas, peeled, sliced, frozen 2 c. milk 1/4 c. creamy peanut butter 2 tbsp. sugar 1 tsp. imitation banana extract
Place all ingredients in blender. Blend until smooth. Pour into tall glasses and serve immediately. 2 servings.

1/2 c. chilled skim milk 1/2 tsp. coconut extract 1/4 ripe banana, peeled & frozen 1/4 c. pineapple chunks, frozen 2-3 ice cubes
In blender combine milk and extract with blender running. Add banana and pineapple. Add ice cubes, one at a time. Blend until smooth. Makes 1 serving.

Half of a banana 1 c. strawberries Milk (as much as you want for the smoothie) 1 ice cube 1 tsp. sugar (or no sugar, or more sugar)
Put in half of banana, strawberries, ice cube, and milk. Also optional sugar. Blend for a few minutes until smooth.

BANANA SMOOTHIE
1 c. milk 1 ripe banana, cut into halves 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract 1-3 ice cubes
Place milk, banana, vanilla and ice cubes in blender container; cover. Process for 20 seconds. Pour into glass. Serve and enjoy. Yields: one smoothie.

1 pt. vanilla ice cream 1/3 c. creme de cacao 1/3 c. kahlua
Combine ingredients in blender and process until smooth. Serve after dinner.

1 c. orange juice 1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple, undrained 2 med. bananas 2 tsp. sugar 1 (8 oz.) carton plain yogurt 1 c. crushed ice
Combine all ingredients except yogurt in blender; process until smooth. Add yogurt and process until blended. Serves 4. Garnish with a pineapple stirrer.

1 c. cold milk 1/2 c. fresh or frozen blackberries 1-3 tbsp. sugar Ice cubes
Place in blender, cover, start on puree speed then push blend speed until smooth and ice is dissolved.

2 ripe, med. Dole Bananas, peeled 1 1/2 c. Dole Pure & Light Country Raspberry Juice, chilled 1 c. frozen vanilla yogurt, softened 1 c. Dole Fresh or frozen Raspberries
Place all ingredients in blender. Process until smooth. Makes 2 to 3 servings.

6 oz. can frozen orange juice concentrate 1 c. milk 1 c. water 1/4 c. sugar 1/2 tsp. vanilla 6-10 ice cubes
Place all ingredients in blender. Cover and blend until smooth. Serve immediately.

1 (16 oz.) pkg. frozen unsweetened sliced peaches 2 c. cranberry-raspberry juice thingytail, chilled 1 (8 oz.) carton raspberry low-fat yogurt
Position knife blade in food processor bowl; add half of all ingredients. Process until smooth. Repeat with remaining ingredients. Yield: 5 cups.

1 c. sliced fresh or thawed peaches 1 c. plain yogurt 1 c. skim milk 1 tbsp. honey
Combine all ingredients in container of electric blender. Process until smooth.

8 oz. blueberry yogurt 1 c. grape juice 1/2 c. milk
Mix yogurt and grape juice in blender; add milk. Pour into glasses and serve.

3 scoops ice cream 1 c. whole milk 1 tsp. vanilla 1 tsp. sugar
Place all ingredients in a blender and mix until smooth. Add 2 to 3 drops food coloring for holiday shakes: green for St. Patrick's, orange for Halloween, etc.

1 qt. orange juice 1 c. fresh strawberries 2 lg. bananas 6 ice cubes
Combine orange juice and strawberries in blender until smooth. Add bananas and ice cubes and blend until smooth. Serve immediately.

2 c. skim milk 1 c. low calorie cranberry juice 2 med. bananas 1 tsp. orange extract 4 to 9 packets Equal 12 to 16 ice cubes
Combine all ingredients in blender. Blend on high for 30 seconds or until smooth and creamy. Pour into thingytail glass and serve. Garnish with orange slices. Yield: 4 servings.

APPLE SMOOTHIE
2 c. applesauce 1 c. apple cider 1 c. orange juice 2 tbsp. Vermont maple syrup 1/2 tsp. nutmeg 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.

1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen strawberries 6 oz. frozen pineapple-orange concentrate 1 (2 litre) bottle ginger ale or lemon-lime soda
Mix strawberries and pineapple-orange concentrate in blender; add ginger ale.

3 (3 oz.) pkg. strawberry Jello 2 c. boiling water 2 c. applesauce 3-4 bananas
Dissolve Jello in boiling water. Put bananas, applesauce in blender and blend until bananas are mashed. Add to Jello and stir well. Pour into mold that has been lightly oiled and let set. Excellent for picnics, etc. as it stays congealed well.

2 big mangos or 3-4 sm. mangos 1-2 ripe bananas 1 egg 2 tbsp. honey or sugar 1 c. vanilla ice cream 1 1/2 c. milk 1 1/2 c. ice
Mix everything but ice in blender. Then add ice; blend for a few seconds. Serves 4.

Island Paradise Smoothie
1 1/2 cups orange juice 1/2 cup crushed pineapple in own juice 1 scoop GeniSoy Protein powder 1 tsp. coconut flavoring, if desired 2 ice cubes
Whip all ingredients in blender until frothy. Makes one serving.

Mango Melon Colada
1/3 cantaloupe, peeled, seeded and cut in chunks (2 cups) 1 mango, peeled, seeded and cut in chunks (about 1 1/2 cups) 3 tbsp cream of coconut 2 tbsp fresh lime juice 2 tbsp superfine sugar 1/4 c. light rum I use Torani(tm)Rum syrup
process all ingredients and two cups crushed ice in a blender until smooth, about 20 seconds. divide between two glasses and serve immediately. preparation time: 10 minutes

Southwest Smoothie Yield: 3 servings
1/2 c Banana; Sliced 1/2 c Mango, Papaya, Or Guava; * 2 c Milk 1 T Honey
* Fruit should be of one kind listed and be chopped.
Place all ingredients in food processor work bowl fitted with steel blade or in blender container; cover and process on high speed until smooth. Strain if using mango.

6 oz. light (reduced sugar) fat-free Apricot-Mango yogurt 1 cup. Crystal Light lemonade 1/2 banana 5-6 canned apricot halves

6 oz. light (reduced sugar) fat-free blueberry yogurt, frozen (This is one container of Yoplait) 1 cup blueberries, fresh 1 cup non-fat milk 1/2 cup frozen blueberries may be added to make it thicker
Put all ingredients into blender. Blend Serves 2, per serving: Fat: 0 g Calories: about 128

CANTALOUPE SMOOTHIE
1 banana, frozen ¼ ripe cantaloupe ½ c. nonfat vanilla yogurt 2 T. powder milk, dry 1 ½ T. orange juice concentrate 1 t. honey
Place in blender & mix well. Serves 1.
